FireFly logo

Known for industry-leading innovations since its beginnings in 1972, FireFly Balloons continues to advance the latest in design, materials, and technology in their beautiful aerostats.

All balloon components are American-made. In their Statesville, NC facility, a team of dedicated and skilled engineers, artists, and craftspersons assemble every component of the system, from the elaborate fabric envelopes, to the advanced technology burner systems, to the meticulous hand-woven wicker and leather gondolas.

As a FireFly Balloons dealer, I would be happy to answer any questions that you have about the FireFly system.

Pilot Training

The Federal Aviation Administration governs pilot training and licensing for hot air balloon pilots in the United States.

As an FAA-licensed flight instructor with a background in education, Nick White provides pilot training and can help you learn about the path to becoming a balloon pilot. Limited openings are available for flight training, and it is advisable to plan ahead.

If you are considering future training, you may request a pilot logbook with a recording of your flight as an orientation flight. Please mention this in advance of the flight day.

Shown below, Corey Goebel flies his new FireFly Balloon, Higher Definition.

Corey completed flight training and received his Private Pilot license in 2007.
